Physicist Adrian Bejan proposed the Constructal Law, which states a simple yet powerful principle:

For a finite flow system to persist in time, its configuration must evolve in a direction that provides easier access to the currents that flow through it.

From the branching of rivers and the bronchi of lungs to urban road networks and corporate information flow, everything follows this same principle.

Randomness Is Not the Enemy

In organizational design, many leaders focus on "eliminating uncertainty" through standardization, manuals, and granular KPIs. However, the Constructal Law teaches us the opposite.

Structure emerges from chaos—not in spite of randomness, but through it.
